Raas vada

Raas vada ( Ros bora ) is one of my favourite sweet dish.Its also very easy recipe.

Lets find the ingredients........

Ingredients
Urad or white lentils - 1 cup
Aniseeds or saunf - 1 teasp
raisin - 1/4 cup
sugar - 4 cups
eno - 1 teasp
oil for frying


Method

For vada:
Soak the urad dal for 5-6 hours.Then grind it.make a smooth paste.
Add saunf,raisin and eno.mix it well with a spoon.
Heat the oil and drop a spoonfull of the batter and fry till golden brown.dont over heat the oil.
Now take them out and keep aside.

For sugar syrup:

In a cooking pan add 2 cups of water and 4 cups of sugar.maintain medium flame.stir continuously.
Donot make it too thick....

Now pour the syrup in a bowl and add vadas.pour syrup over vadars.Varas will soak the sugar syrup.leave it for 15-20 min.

Its ready.........yummy.......
