Well....the ingredients of this preparation is little different from the traditional chicken curry.But I love its taste.You can also try this recipe with mutton.Trust me it will be rocking......
Ingredients
Chicken - 500 gm
curd - 1 cup
milk - 1 cup
black paper - 1 tbsp
cinnamon - 1 (large piece)
clove (laung) - 2
bay leave ( tej pata) - 2
onion - 2
ginger - 1 tbsp
garlic - tbsp
red chilies - 4-5
green chilies - 4-5
oil
ghee
salt to taste
Method:
Grind ginger,garlic,cinnamon,cloves,black paper.Make a smooth paste.
In a large bowl take the chicken.add curd,milk,freshly prepared paste and salt.mix well and marinate it atlest for 3hrs (you can marinate it overnight.but when you are preparing this recipe with mutton,please marinate atleast 6 hrs.).
Heat the oil in a pan.add bay leaves and sliced onion.cook untill onions turn soft.
Now add only the chicken pieces and fry with onions.Add 1 tbsp ghee.
Fry for 5-10 min.
Now add the rest part from the bowl (the mixture of curd,milk and masalas) and cook.Also add 1 tbsp ghee again.
After 5 minutes add red chilies and green chilies.If you want gravy then add more milk not water.
Add salt.
Cook for 5 minutes.remove the heat.
Wowwwww..........I love the smell of ghee and garam masala........serve with rice,pulao,chapati.......not to forget add little ghee before serving.
