DAHI VADA


I love Dahi vada....perfect for evening.But today I am writing this recipe for my sweet friend Shaona....

Ingredients

FOR VADA :
Urad dal or White lentils - 1 cup
ginger - 1 teasp
green chilies - 1-2
salt to taste
eno - 1 teasp
oil for frying

For Dahi:
Dahi or curd - 2 cups
red chili powder - 1 teasp
salt to taste
sugar - little
water - 1/4 cup

Method
For vada:
Soak the dal atleast for 4-5 hours.then wash properly.
In grinder container,take the dal...add ginger,green chilies and salt into it.blend the mixture.
Now take frying pan.
heat the oil.
drop a spoonfuls of batter and fry till golden brown(remember:dont overheat the oil.cook in medium flame.).
In a bowl take cold water.Take the hot vadas and put in cold water for 2-3 minutes.Now Take them out of water and squeeze the water and keep aside.

For Dahi:
In a large bowl take dahi.add water,red chili powder,salt and little sugar into it.Mix it well.

Now...put the vadas into the dahi...but very carefully....and pour dahi over them.
Wowwwww....DAHI VADA is ready.....
Garnish with coriander leaves and chaat masala.
