Lets check out today's recipe.Well,today I am going to make a very famous recipe...yes ...yes....BIRIYANI.but this time its Egg biriyani.Its very simple and easy to cook and only takes 15 minutes.
Ingredients:
Basmati rice - 2 cups ( for 2-3 servings )
Egg - 4 ( boiled )
Potato - 2 ( cut it into half )
onion - 2
garlic cloves - 4
green chilies - 2 to 3
haldi - 1 tbsp
garam masala powder - 2 tbsp
mustard seed - 2 teasp
curry leave
oil - 2 tbsp
ghee - 1 tbsp
sugar
salt to taste
water - 4 cups ( rice:water = 1:2 )
Method :
In a large bowl take rice and wash it and keep aside.
In a pressure cooker heat the oil and add mustard seeds curry leaves.Then add sliced onion,chopped garlic and chopped green chilies.fry untill the onions turn pink and soft.
Now add potatoes and all the masalas(haldi,garam masala).fry for a minute.
Now add rice into it.add salt and a little sugar.Again fry for 2-3 minutes.
Finally add egss and pour water.Place the lid and cook in medium flame.
Wait for the first whistle.then remove the heat.but dont open the cooker.
Leave it for 10 minutes.Then open.......ahhhhaaaa.......its done.
Now add the ghee and enjoy the food.
* If you want,you can also add coriander leaves.
